Science & Tecnology Park of Sardinia

This project is part of the Science & Tecnology Park of Sardinia, from Studio Gregotti Associati International.
The project started in the early ‘90s with the scope to create an high-tech complex for research activities, inside the Piscinamanna natural park in Pula, Sardinia.
Abis Associati has been involved in the design and construction of the building n.8, featuring two elevated floors for laboratories and offices and a partially underground level for parking.
The plan is rectangular, 115x16m wide, and is divided in three bodies stepping over the sloped ground. A square marks the entrance, at the down-hill side.
Together with the building itself, Abis Associati worked also for its access road and all infrastractures (potable water, sewage, power, lighting, low voltage, telephone and fire protection), the ford across the Rio Palaceris and a safety drain channel against floodings at the up-hill side of the lot.
Highlight of the building is the prefrabrication system and  the use of granite for all external works, in order to recall the extraordinary rocks of the natural park.
